One of the things I love most about Halloween is the candy. I just love being able to buy fun-sized Snickers in bulk for a couple bucks when every other time during the year it's twice that. I love the pumpkin-shaped Reeses peanut butter cups. I love that candy corn is "in season" and hopefully recently made. Candy is more fun at Halloween because ALLLL the good stuff is available!
When I was a kid, I always prayed for the houses that gave out fun-sized versions of the awesome candy bars like Snickers, Butterfingers, Almond Joy, etc. Yeah, I was a choco-holic even then. I also enjoyed supplementing my chocolate consumption with fruity candy like Skittles, Nerds, or gummy bears. That's the perfect Halloween candy haul: a nice mixture of tasty chocolate with fruit-flavored candies.
Let this be lesson to anyone handing out candy this year: DON'T BE CHEAP. Don't go get the shitty off-brand candy from Dollar General that no child would be caught dead eating just to save a few bucks. Either spring for the good stuff or don't even bother handing out candy to trick or treaters. Just saying.
